Don’t forget you still have the rest of this week to drop off dry dog/cat food at Canton Fire Stations.

There are more than 60 communities in Stark, Summit and Portage Counties participating in the St. Pet’s Day – pet food donation drive sponsored by the Celtic Club on March 8-17, 2010.

Residents can Donate dry dog/cat food and cat litter at their local Fire Station (in most cases)
March 8-12 & March 15 -17
from 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
Canton residents can donate pet food at the
Front Lobby of the Repository Building.

Everything goes to local humane/pet rescue groups.

3/31/2010 UPDATE ON DONATIONS….

Over 5000 pounds of dog/cat food were donated at the 11 various firehouses.  The food will be distributed to animal agencies, shelters, non-profits in the tri-county area.
